Technical Manager
Do you have technical experience, and are you seeking a new challenge? The Lift and Escalator Industry Association is looking for a Technical Manager, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As the LEIA Technical Manager, you will support the work of the LEIA Technical Committee on standards and legislation affecting our sector. You will have an important role in influencing the standards and our industry guidance.
In this role as a Technical Manager role, you can expect to:
> Contribute to the work of the committee on standards
> Identify and review legislation to determine its impact on the industry
> Draft guidance on standards and legislation and share this with our members
> Manage and organise committee meetings and member seminars
> Support our work in Distance Learning and contribute to the develop of training materials especially on technical, standards and legislative issues
> Respond to member queries and provide excellent support to members and our sector
> Interact with a wide range of key stakeholders on technical, standards and legislative issues.

To succeed in this Technical Manager role, you will need to understand the LEIA Vision and strategy and be strongly motivated to improve our sector through our work. You will also require the following:
> A record showing an ability to work consistently towards objectives through consistent work
> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
> A participative working style
> Strong communication skills and the ability to write effective guidance on complex issues
> A strong interest in our sector and improving its environment
You would ideally demonstrate these through experience in one or more of the following:
> the lift and escalator sector
> a representative role such as a trade association or membership organization
> working with relevant standards e.g. in a design role or providing guidance to others
> working in a training, mentoring or supporting role.
In return for your passion, collaborative approach and commitment, we are offering a salary package of £55K – £65K depending on experience, a benefits package, as well as working in a friendly and inclusive culture.
The role is a full-time hybrid role working remotely with up to 2 days a week in our office based in London.
