Welcome to the latest LEIA member, SERAPID, based in the UK in Bury St Edmunds but with offices globally.
Founded in 1972 in Dieppe, France, the company offers Rigid Chain Technology, which uses a simple mechanical principle making it possible to transfer loads of a few kgs to several hundred tonnes. This provides a compact, telescopic, position stable, non-hydraulic, easy-to-use install and environmentally friendly lift solution.
Serapid Rigid Chain is incompressible and is ideal for large and complex lifts and installations where there is limited pit and headroom. The technology has been successfully used for lifts up to 300 tonnes capacity.
Iain Forbester at SERAPID commented, “We are delighted to finally have managed to join LEIA as we believe that it is a professional and effective representative body for the broad range of companies that serve the lift and escalator industries.”
